Mrs Matadeen is our fantastic Year 6 teacher. “Running, dancing and yoga keeps me very active. I enjoy speaking Spanish and French. I’m passionate about teaching Year 6 and always aim to inspire, motivate and challenge them as they develop through their final stages of primary.”

Miss Mason Smith started at Bathford in September 2022. She is an Early Career Teacher who brings so much energy and enthusiasm to the classroom and is a great member of the Bathford staff team.

Miss Louise Myers is our full-time Year 3 teacher. She is very passionate about science and the environment and enjoys encouraging the children to investigate the world around them.

Mrs McMullen works for one day in our Year Two class. She job-shares with Mr Stuart Thompson who teaches Year 2 on the other 4 days. She is very creative and the children she works with always produce the most amazing drawings, paintings and collages.

Mrs Esther Hinde teaches two days in Year 1 with Mrs Morcom. She has taught many other year groups as well and is an expert on all things ecological. She works brilliantly with our school councillors to help the school save energy and is the subject leader for Science. Away from school, she can often be seen on her tandem bicycle!

Mrs Rachel Morcom teaches three days in Year 1 with Mrs Hinde.  She is very creative and loves running the art club after school. She is also a Governor at St Stephen’s Church School, one of our Bath Hub partners and part of the Bath & Wells Multi-Academy Trust.

Mrs Katie Robertson is our Reception class teacher.  Mrs Robertson has been teaching at Bathford School for five years and has been a Reception class teacher for six years.  Mrs Robertson absolutely loves teaching Reception class because every day is so much fun.  She firmly believes that children learn best through play and through teaching that is engaging, interactive and imaginative.
